DROP ACCOUNT ACCESS IN MyLAFPP
We are aware that some members are currently unable to view their Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) account 
information in the MyLAFPP portal. We understand how important it is to have timely access to your account details and 
appreciate your patience.
To ensure that your retirement calculations are accurate, our dedicated team conducts a rigorous review process. Staff is 
finalizing audits and approving records for members who entered DROP in March 2025. This review process is necessary 
to ensure that all enrollments, service credits, and account details are accurate before they are reflected in the MyLAFPP 
portal.
The delay in portal visibility is due to several factors, including:

System updates, including the City’s transition to the Workday payroll system to verify member work hours
•	
Issues related to the Retirement Incentive Pay (RIP) Program, specifically resolving discrepancies due to errors in 
recording between the employing department timekeepers and Workday
Please be assured that if we have received your DROP application and you received a confirmation from LAFPP staff stating 
you are fully enrolled in DROP, then you are receiving your DROP credits. We are working diligently to complete the auditing 
process and provide full MyLAFPP portal visibility as soon as possible. We appreciate your continued patience and 
understanding as staff works meticulously to ensure the accuracy of your benefits.
