b'MAXIMUM HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUM SUBSIDY FOR RETIRED MEMBERSIn1974,votersapprovedaCharteramend-ment to provide a health insurance premium subsidybenefitforpensioners.EffectiveJuly 1,2006,theLosAngelesAdministrativeCode4.1154(e) grants the Board of Fire and Police Pension Commissioners the authority to raise the maximum non-Medicare health insurance premiumsubsidyforretiredmembersonan annual basis. The Board may raise the subsidy up to the lesser of 7% or the approved actuari-al assumed rate for medical inflation for pre-65 health benefits for the fiscal year.
