b'RECENTLY CONCLUDED LITIGATIONGeneral Counsel, working with outside counsel, successfully defended LAFPP in a federal lawsuit, Downtown Crenshaw Rising and Members Against Anti-Black Racism at Public Pension Funds v. Deutsche Bank et al. (U.S.D.C. C.D. Cal. Case No. 24-CV-07266). This lawsuit was filed by two local community groups, Downtown Crenshaw Rising and Members Against Anti-Black Racism at Public Pension Funds, who alleged that the sale of the Downtown Crenshaw Mall violated federal civil rights statutes and certain state laws, as well as caused the public pensions limited partner investors to violate their fiduciary duties.
